L’abstract
In today’s world we all know that there are many causes to defend and improve. But what if some people have a bigger role than others? Or a greater share of responsibility for these current problems? This study plans to analyze the responsibility and roles of designers and graphic designers.
Through research and documentation on the subject and on the history of design, it has been proven that this notion was more complex than it first appeared. In reality there are different ways of working. Designers make choices that matter to their lives and to society, so it’s up to them to decide which cause they want to contribute their knowledge to. And if some make choices for the benefit of the marketing and economicworld, it is their own morals that are at issue. Unfortunately this is sometimes the case and the impact of their communication is then reflected on the world…
To conclude, graphic designers have a part of responsibility in today’s problems but only on a human scale and not because of their professional functions.
